CAMP OPERATIONS
CREATE OPPORTUNITIES TO CONNECT WHILE LIMITING CONTACT

The ongoing global pandemic will continue to present challenges to camp operators as we enter the 2021 summer season. Last year several overnight camps in the United States ran very successful programs while avoiding a COVID outbreak.
Members of the Ontario Camp Association are optimistic that guidelines created with the consultation of Sick Kids hospital will provide an opportunity for overnight camps to operate in Ontario in 2021. As the old proverb goes, "Necessity is the mother of invention". Embracing the challenges of COVID-19 is an opportunity for your camp to streamline operations, renew a commitment to health and safety, and implement innovative program ideas.
Here are some of the solutions that I may be able to provide for your camp:
-
contactless activity instruction
-
maximizing bunk space
-
changes to standard operating procedures during a pandemic
-
supplementing your overnight program with day camps
